Leptiri su dakle proljeće / Butterflies are therefore spring

Oduzet sparinom,
žudim u krevetu kuhan
da ka zapadu uroni dan,
te sve boje noć namjeni
sjenama tako kasnim.

Tijelo mi prekrili,
tisuće vrsta, prekrasni,
čekam ih da polete
u novi dan, šareni,
da se prepustim.

Kako noć tiša postaje,
sva čar nestaje
i proljeće,
a zima mi se ne spominje,
leptiri su dakle proljeće.

To the late, tardy shadows

My body is covered up
Thousands of species, so ornate
As I wait to take up flight
Into a new florid day
To breathe release
